Scientific Method
An empirical methodology with the following steps:
- Define an area of investigation: a question.
- Observe and collect data.
- Formulate a hypothesis.
- Test the hypothesis by performing an experiment and collecting data in a reproducible manner.
- Analyze the data.
- Interpret the data and form a new hypothesis.
- Publish and have peers review your result.
- Retest the result.
